Philosophy: to convey a realistic sound image by means of a careful microphone placement in an acoustically adequate venue. Sound engineering and post production are used in order to make a recording which sounds as natural as possible.

In other words, on-location sound recordings with high-end equipment, high-end microphones (DPA-Bruel&Kjaer, DDA, Neumann, RME, Schoeps, Sonodore, SoundField) and an acoustically as well as musically skilled engineer.
