Pieter Ketelslegers holds degrees in electronic engineering- telecommunication, acoustics and journalism. He worked as a reporter-voice over at the Belgian Radio and Television corporation. As an acoustical engineer, he participated in various projects dealing with room acoustics and environmental acoustics. He has been making sound recordings since his childhood, mostly of acoustically performed music.

Pieter was brought up in a musical family. Both his parents sang in various semi-professional choirs, and his brother played the piano and the guitar. It was quickly discovered that he as well had a talent for music. So he started studying music when he was a child. He plays the piano, but above all he is a very keen trombone player. He is a member of the Belgian Trombone Choir and the VRT Bigband.
